Senior Manager – Outsource and Small Business & Tax
Monica Herrera, is a senior manager in the firm’s Outsource and Small Business department. She has been in the accounting profession since 1992.
Mrs. Herrera specializes in family office services for high-net-worth individuals, families, corporate executives and closely-held business owners. She has extensive experience advising clients with personal and business tax issues, complex accounting matters, accounting systems and cash flow management. She has developed strong client relationships and serves as a trusted advisor counseling them through diverse business matters and linking them with other resources to address specific business needs.
Mrs. Herrera has more than 24 years of experience in the accounting profession and also has extensive experience in the field of Property and Casualty Insurance. She was licensed as a 2-20 P&C Insurance Agent and 1-20 Surplus Lines Agent. She has an extremely diverse career having been in senior level positions both in public accounting and insurance management. She has experience in business management, sales of insurance investments and services as well as being a trusted advisor.
Prior to joining Garcia, Espinosa, Miyares and Co., Mrs. Herrera served as Controller of a locally headquartered tire enterprise as well as was a Senior Associate with Marcum, a national accounting and advisory firm. Monica also spent 12 years in various accounting and management positions at USA Insurance Financial Services.
Mrs. Herrera holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Florida International University.
